LaseMD is a nonablative, fractional laser treatment that creates tiny microchannels into the dermal layer of the skin. It's similar to microneedling but with the added benefit of allowing topical serums to penetrate more deeply.

What to Expect

  • Preparation: Stop using topical retinoids and retin-A  days prior to treatment. If you have a history of cold sores, a prescription may be provided to prevent an outbreak. 

  • During the Procedure: A strong topical anesthetic is applied for 0 minutes before the treatment, which takes about -0 minutes depending on the area being treated. 

  • Post-Procedure: The treated areas will be red and mildly swollen, and may feel warm for several hours. There might be mild swelling and redness for - days, and the skin may feel like sandpaper for the first - days. 

  • Care After Treatment: Use sunblock (UVA/B, SPF 0) immediately after the procedure, avoid strenuous activities, and follow the recommended skincare routine.
